My SD memory card does not work.
Check the following:
- Please check the SD card capacity supported by the device.
- Did you format the card with the same device? If you formatted with a different device, format the card with the device to use with.
- Insert the card into another device and check whether the device can recognize the card. If it does, check how you can properly operate the device used.
What is the difference between the SD / microSD memory card and the SDHC / microSDHC memory card?
The SD / microSD memory cards have a capacity of up to 2GB, while the SDHC / microSDHC memory cards have a capacity range starting at 4GB and going up to 32GB.
The SDHC / microSDHC memory cards use a different file system and standard than the SD / microSD memory cards. SDHC / microSDHC memory cards cannot be used on SD / microSD memory card compatible devices. Use a SDHC / microSDHC card on a SDHC / microSDHC compatible device.
SDHC / microSDHC compatible devices are backward compatible with SD / microSD memory cards as well.
Does the SD / microSD memory card work on SDHC memory card compatible devices?
The SDHC / microSDHC memory cards use a different file system and standard than the SD /microSD memory cards. SDHC / microSDHC memory cards cannot be used on SD / microSD memory card compatible devices. Use a SDHC / microSDHC card on a SDHC / microSDHC compatible device.
SDHC / microSDHC compatible devices are backward compatible with SD / microSD memory cards as well.
I accidentally inserted SD memory card into a slot of a different size, and cannot remove the card.
Do not try to forcibly extract the card, since it may damage the card.

I accidentally erased data on my SD memory card. Can I recover the data?

Does the SD memory card supports content protection function?
Yes, the SD memory card supports the CPRM(Content Protection for Recordable Media)technology that is compliant with the SD card standards.
What is the difference with Memory StickTM cards?
SD memory card and Memory StickTM are different standards of memory cards.
Memory Stick works on Memory StickTM compatible devices, whereas the SD memory card works on SD compliant devices.
How can I format the SD / SDHC and microSD / microSDHC memory cards?
You can format the SD / SDHC memory card using an SD / SDHC memory card compatible device.
MicroSD / microSDHC memory cards can be formatted using a microSD / microSDHC memory card compatible device.

What is the Speed Class of SD cards?
The speed class of SD cards is of Class4 (Speed Class 4) and guarantees a minimum writing speed of 4MB/s, according to the standards defining the minimum writing speeds for both SD / SDHC and microSD /microSDHC memory cards and their compatible devices.

When I try to record data on my SD / SDHC memory card, my device says "the card is write-protected and recording is not possible"

Does microSD / microSDHC memory card work on devices other than Sony Ericsson mobile phones?
It works with any devices that are compliant with the microSD / microSDHC card standards.
If a microSD memory card is inserted into a miniSD card adapter and then inserted into a SD card adapter, would it still be possible to use it with a SD memory card compatible product?
There is no guarantee that the media will operate properly with double layering adapters.
Can I put a label on my microSD / microSDHC memory card?
Do not put a label or other object on the microSD / microSDHC memory card. It may come off while inserted in a slot or adapter.

Can I upload a video created with "x-Pict StoryTM for Memory Card" to video sharing service like YouTube via web browser?
"x-Pict StoryTM for Memory Card" creates video files in Windows Media Video format.
The types of format accepted by YouTube will depend on YouTube specifications. Please refer to YouTube "Help" for the latest information.
Is there any limitation on the length of MP3 songs that can be used?
The shortest length is 5 seconds and maximum 60 minutes.
Is there any limitation on the number of pictures that can be used?
The maximum number is 200 pictures per video.
Where is the created video stored?
After saving the video, you can see the folder location by clicking [See location].
I installed Picture Motion Browser (PMB), but no label is attached to the video I created with "x-Pict StoryTM for Memory Card".
You need to manually put labels to the videos which are created with "x-Pict StoryTM for Memory Card" before installing PMB (Ver.5 or above).
If you already have PMB (Ver.5 or above) installed, labels will be automatically "x-Pict StoryTM for Memory Card".

Video thumbnails are all dark or all white. Why is that?
It is part of the specification of the software that the initial screen starts from black or white fade-in effect.
