Sony is pleased to announce "Sony Player Plug-in Version 1.29 for Windows Media Player" is available. This "Sony Player Plug-in Version 1.29 for Windows Media Player" is dedicated software for Sony IC recorders, and makes it possible to play the compressed voice files (dvf/msv files) recorded with your IC Recorder within Windows Media Player (Ver. 6.4 or higher).

Prior to downloading this software, please read the following instructions to make certain you are comfortable with the process.

Minimum Requirements

Your computer and system software must meet the following minimum requirements.

IBM PC/AT or compatible (You can not use this software with Macintosh.)
CPU: 266MHz Pentium II processor or higher
RAM: 64MB or more
Hard disk space: 5MB or more depending on the size and number of sound files you store.
Sound Board: Sound Blaster 16 compatible
Display: High colour (16bit) or more and 800x480 dots or more
Windows Media Player: Ver.6.4 or higher (Your computer must meet the requirements for Windows Media Player)

Improvements

Problems with long message playback have been corrected. When playing a message with a length exceeding 1 hour, the counter stopped before playback was ended. This problem has been solved
Several miscellaneous smaller problems have been solved

Download and Installation procedure

Sony Player Plug-in Version 1.29 for Windows Media Player Download Procedures

Prior to downloading the file, we recommend you to close all open applications.
Create a folder on your computer (for example : C:\download) and download the Player Plug-in Version 1.29 file in this folder by accepting below disclaimer.

Close all the applications that are currently open.
Select the downloaded file, extract it and click OK to begin the installation.
When the installation is finished, Sony Player Plug-in for Windows Media Player has been successfully installed is displayed on the screen.
The installation is completed and the computer will be restarted.

How to use Player Plug-in Version 1.29 for Windows Media Player

Select the dvf or msv file and double-click it. Windows Media Player opens and starts the playback. The dvf / msv files can also be opened from the Windows Media Player.

Applicable EULA's may impose additional warranty and liability exclusions or limitations on Utilities.

The downloading of any Utility constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not download any Utility or accompanying online documentation.
